After dark
Can the night-time economy really switch the lights back on for our high streets?
The London mayor has announced plans to create three Night Time Enterprise Zones to help revive the capital’s high streets after 6pm. In the new zones boroughs will work with businesses and local communities to develop ideas to make their high streets more accessible, inclusive and welcoming at night with £500,000 of funding committed by the mayor. Walthamstow has been selected to take part in the pilot. This podcast will investigate what impact a night-time economy across London might have in bringing the high streets back to life. What role could redundant buildings play in this agenda and how can we make sure that an after-dark environment is not a dangerous environment?

London life sciences
Delivering on dramatic demand
Demand for life science space in London is outweighing supply – despite intense interest from the real estate community to develop and repurpose swathes of space across the capital. While VC investment in life sciences start-ups may be waning, the lack of available space means there’s still plenty of growth to come in the capital. With several clusters already in place and new ones being established, this podcast will look at where is hot (and not) for life sciences in the capital and where should be, how to accelerate the delivery of space and what investors, developers and landlords really need to know about delivering space for such a tenant.
