London, 29 February 2024 – CBRE has topped EG’s annual leaderboard as the most active commercial real estate agent in the UK, stealing the spot from JLL in 2022. The firm advised on more than 17.5m sq ft of disposals and acquisitions in 2023, according to data submitted to EG Radius.
EG’s annual leaderboards showcase the most active agents across the UK geographically and by sectors. CBRE transacted on 13% higher, or some 3.8m sq ft more than its closest rival JLL, and ten times the volume of the 10th most active agent BH2.
Four firms advised on more than 10m sq ft of leasing deals in 2023, led by CBRE. JLL in second place transacted 13.7m sq ft of space, Cushman & Wakefield in third advised on 13.3m sq ft of space and in forth, Knight Frank advised on 10.8m sq ft. Savills took fifth position with 5.8m sq ft of leasing transactions.
As well as topping the league nationally, CBRE also took the top spot in office lettings, advising on 7.6m sq ft of deals, and industrial, advising on 9.5m sq ft of deals.
In London, CBRE was the most active agent in half of the six submarkets tracked. It led the way in the West End, Midtown and Docklands, advising on 1.2m sq ft, 279,608 sq ft and 263,973 sq ft respectively.

With flexible search and filter options, users can break down their search into units, or different spaces within the building, and view when a building has an expired certificate. This provides a time-effective solution as EG Radius users no longer need to navigate through various information sources, including the UK Government website, to access the property’s energy efficiency information.
