Development activity across London is returning after a pandemic-induced reduction in the number of cranes that pepper the skyline. And with a clear focus from the industry to do the right thing when it comes to climate change, we are seeing an increasing proportion of refurbishments rather than full-scale development.
In this session the panel will explore the case for regeneration v restoration. How do we deliver better, more sustainable space for Londoners while addressing the problem of restoring and reusing the capital’s growing number of not-fit-for-purpose assets.
What role does policy play, how can investors and developers ensure they are doing the right thing – for profit and purpose – and what influence can occupiers have over how our buildings are utilised? How will this change the shape of the city and what London will look like in 20 years’ time? We’ll discuss all these questions and more.
