Bennett joined Travelodge in February 2020 to oversee the property and development function of the business. In this role he is responsible for the company’s overall growth and development in the UK and Spain, maintaining Travelodge’s existing estate and relationships with landlords, overseeing the operations of the Spanish hotels and heading the company’s large in-house maintenance team. Key projects he has been involved with since joining Travelodge include leading the acquisition of 66 hotels from the group’s largest landlord, evolving its leasehold model to include freehold opportunities and overseeing Travelodge’s continued expansion in Spain. Prior to joining Travelodge, Bennett spent three years as director of property at Marks & Spencer, which included overseeing the group’s new store acquisition programme, refit investments, asset management and an international strategic review. Dunlop has a particular focus on the UK and clients in relation to stamp duty land tax, pan-European real estate M&A and the tax services required by investors in connection with the acquisition of entities owning real estate, including financial and tax due diligence, tax structuring, SPA advice and tax forecasting/modelling. He has a PhD from Massachusetts Institute of Technology as a Fulbright scholar and was previously a tenured professor at the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an investment banker at Morgan Stanley. Edmans serves as non-executive director of the Investor Forum, on the World Economic Forum’s Global Future Council on Responsible Investing, on Royal London Asset Management’s responsible investment advisory committee, and on Novo Nordisk’s sustainability advisory council. Edmans’s book, Grow the pie: how great companies deliver both purpose and profit, was a Financial Times book of the year in 2020 and has been translated into nine languages. Edmans also co-authored Principles of Corporate Finance (with Brealey, Myers and Allen). His latest book, May contain lies: how stories, statistics and studies exploit our biases – and what we can do about it, was published by Penguin Random House in April 2024. He is a fellow of the British Academy and a fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences.

Ormrod is the net zero carbon (NZC) lead for Europe, and is responsible for providing technical guidance to the European business in the development and delivery of asset-level NZC pathways. He led the roll-out of more than 220 NZC audits by a select panel of NZC consultants across £20bn of direct real estate, establishing existing asset energy performance and providing a detailed set of costed asset-specific energy conservation measures. He is involved in a number of cross-industry working groups, including co-chairing the Better Buildings Partnership’s investor engagement working group, and both the GRESB NZC working group and UK NZC Building Standard working group, where he leads on defining the standards for measuring operational carbon. Prior to joining LaSalle, Ormrod was a sustainability manager in Lendlease’s urban regeneration team, where he was responsible for developing strategies for projects and business units to achieve the company’s ambitious sustainability targets. He also spent nine years at architectural firm Foster + Partners, embedding sustainable design into projects for clients such as Apple and Bloomberg.

Partridge joined Argent in 1990. He was appointed joint chief executive in 2006 and managing partner of the new Argent in 2012, and became senior partner in 2019. He is currently a trustee of the UK Green Building Council and LandAid, and is chairman of the governance board of the UK Net Zero Carbon Buildings Standard. He also sits on the advisory boards of Construct Zero and Standard Gas Technologies. Partridge read architecture at Cambridge and is a member of the Royal Institute of British Architects.

He also spent almost four years on the UK board of McKesson UK, owner of Lloyds Pharmacy and AAH, the largest medicines distributer in the country, leading a team of eight people covering crisis, policy and government communications.

At Ellandi, which was bought by NewRiver REIT, Robinson led on repurposing projects and strategic delivery. In 2019 he represented the retail and leisure property industry as president of Revo and in 2020 was appointed as chair of the High Streets Task Force.

Royle joined AEW in 2015 and has 20 years’ industry experience. He is currently portfolio manager for the company’s Urban Real Estate Fund and chairs the firm’s UK ESG committee. Royle is involved in a range of projects across the UK, with a strong focus on repurposing underutilised retail accommodation to alternative uses, enabling social change in urban areas. As part of his role on the UK ESG committee, Royle has worked alongside the UK Impact Fund team, transforming the fund into the UK’s first Sustainability Disclosure Requirements-approved impact fund. Royle became a member of the RICS in March 2007, passed the Investment Management Certificate in May 2014 and holds a BSc in land management from the University of Reading.

Smith first joined AHMM as an architectural assistant, working across a range of commercial and retrofit design projects, before joining the building performance team in 2021. Smith is an advocate for collective learning and communication, and as such organises knowledge sharing workshops within AHMM. She has also developed presentation techniques to help convey complex data sets, helping with the integration of environmental design principles across work stages. Most recently, Smith has co-authored the report Fit Out // Rip Out, looking into the wasteful cycles of Cat A fit-outs and providing data on the carbon impacts of these cycles.
