Atkinson is the director of Civic Engineers’ London studio. He leads on civil and structural engineering projects ranging from the sustainable retrofit and extension to large-scale regeneration and public realm improvement schemes. Atkinson sits on the New London Architecture net zero expert panel, where he collaborates with leaders from the built environment and real estate practices in the UK to identify the priorities for London to achieve Net Zero, and the role that the built environment has to play in meeting this target. A strong advocate of sustainable design, he has helped with the implementation of Civic Engineers’ climate charter.
